Ballad by Sebastien L

Beowulf

He was a great warrior who served the king well.

He slew many beasts and sent them to hell.

Old and Young he fought until he died.

He did impossible things and completed tasks that nobody even tried.

He slew Gretchen‘s mother with a sword of great power.

He left her cut in two and defeated her within an hour.

He has the skills and quality of a mighty God.

He is a true knight who serves all, he is not a fraud.

He killed Grendel with nothing but his bare hands.

No monster is as strong as Beowulf in all of the lands.

He does not accept rewards and serves his King with great respect.

He puts his people first and his goal is to protect.

He can fight on land and on water no matter where.

He can fight through conditions that humans can’t bear.

He has great knowledge and has the manners of a Prince.

There has never been a greater hero since.

He was a powerful King of the geats.

He protected them from a dragon with great heat.

Beowulf slew this powerful dragon in his old age.

But he was mortally wounded, and he ended his sage.
