Ballad of Sir Jimi Hendrix by Ted D

There once was a boy named Jimi,
he played the guitar so well.
He sat in the park and played his songs,
the beat of his rhythm never fell.

One day a man walked on by,
he asked, "boy what is your name?"
Before Jimi spoke the man thought,
this kids music screams money and fame.

The man was from a company,
where music was known to spread.
It was not long before Jimi realized,
the lyrics to his songs were in everybody's head.

Fame and fortune were in his sight,
but the music remained in his heart.
Many distractions were in the way,
because his songs were #1 on the chart.

Things were looking good,
but the future is never known.
Addiction struck Jimi,
that left his heart singing mono tone.
