My home is the Hudson River

Some of my family lives in the Chesapeake Bay, some in the Hudson, and some live in the ocean

I was born in fresh water and when I got older I moved to salt water

My favorite food is bunker and sometimes clams

I like rocky places to feed at

My tallest family member was 74 inches long

I am green and white and I have 7 and sometimes 8 stripes on my sides

My mouth is huge and I’m known to eat fish half my size whole

I love cold water and fast moving tides

I’m the most sought after salt water species in New Jersey and New York.

I sure am a fish but what’s my name?
